Photonic Microsystems Technology
Small and smaller
Microsystems technology has revolutionised automotive engineering (air bags, ABS), the aerospace industry and medical technology (minimally invasive surgical techniques). In fact, there is hardly a field in modern technology where existing applications cannot be improved by using micro sensors or systems.
Here the CTR team works closely together with the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS). CTR thus combines basic research of the highest level with application-oriented solutions.
Top quality, total reliability and miniature designs make microsystems technology solutions highly attractive, even for companies that have not previously considered this option.
Miniaturised systems
We focus on the development of photonic system solutions. They are based on the microcomponents developed by the IPMS. CTR integrates and combines them with micro-optics and micro-mechatronics to produce an application-oriented system. The developments to date, such as the microspectrometer and the FT-IR spectrometer, enable us to make spectroscopic laboratory equipment smaller, more rugged and much more cost effective. Together with the Fraunhofer organisation, we have applied for a patent for the measuring systems.
Our competence
CTR’s know-how, not only in sensor and microsystems technology, but also in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electronics and software development, enables us to develop complete system solutions to your specifications. On the basis of our core competencies of micro-optics and micro-mechatronics, we at CTR provide comprehensive development services. Innovative ideas can thus be turned into marketable products.
Our services
We primarily see our tasks from the user’s point of view. Together with you, the customer, we therefore work out ideas for microsystems technology applications. The focus here lies on developing applications for photonic microsystems.
