SAW Sensor Systems

There is no such thing as impossible – for the high-tech developers at CTR. Sensor systems enable physical quantities to be measured at high temperatures, under extreme conditions in radioactive environments and on conductive surfaces. And they work without any cables – thanks to wireless technology.

New standards in RFID technology and remote access temperature sensors
CTR has specialised in developing surface acoustic wave (SAW) based systems for particularly demanding identification and measuring tasks: position, temperature, pressure or acceleration can thus be determined at high scanning speed.
Our sensor systems are flexible, rugged, purely passive, eco-friendly and require very little maintenance. Applications for these high-tech sensor systems are to be found wherever challenges are faced: exposure to high temperatures, high radiation, high voltage or simply where moving parts have to be detected. They are therefore often used in the automotive, heavy and chemical/pharmaceutical industries as well as in automation.

Developing SAW sensors - that is the idea that inspires CTR and stimulates our team to produce system and product solutions for industrial applications. Using feasibility studies, conception, design, prototyping and testing in conjunction with simulation techniques, we develop applications for specific tasks and to customer specifications.
