Smart sensors: a key technology
Focusing on smart sensor systems, CTR is researching into and developing a future key technology that will prove increasingly important in everyday life and industry.
Research and technology
Sensors are used in all areas where measurement, testing, monitoring or control are required. CTR develops innovative sensors and makes the systems smart. This involves combining various technologies such as electronics, mechanics or optics and integrating them in very small packages. The research focus at CTR lies in the areas of optical system and microsystems technology and includes many emerging technologies.
Application-oriented solutions
Smart sensors are steadily gaining ground in everyday use, such as in cars, medical devices, and consumer electronics, as well as in industrial applications. They primarily determine the functionality of the overall system and therefore constitute a stimulating and forward-looking research area. CTR’s multidisciplinary approach and our staff’s competencies enable us to adapt various innovative technologies to industrial requirements. Serving a large number of sectors, we deliver innovative solutions for automation. Quality and process control are other areas where they are commonly used.
