Wireless sensors for extreme conditions
As wireless sensors are rugged, flexible and do not require physical connection, they enable sensor applications that were not previously possible in industrial process control.
SAW sensors for accurate results
CTR wireless sensors focus on the area of surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology. The sensor is supplied with power from the wireless signal and transmits the data collected to the reader. By using particularly robust SAW technology that measures the change in a surface wave’s velocity, solutions can be found for extreme industrial environmental conditions.
- Temperature sensors: for use at extreme temperatures between -200°C and +400°C
- Pressure sensors: for wireless measurements in harsh industrial environments
- RFID transponders: for identifying objects
- Scanners: for particularly fast reading frequency and mobile applications
Process control in industry substantially improved
With surface wave technology, wireless sensors can now also be used in harsh industrial environments, which will ensure significant progress in process control. Industries from steel and metal working to plastics processing, food, medical technology, mechanical and plant engineering all benefit from wireless sensors.
CTR expertise
Many years of experience and continuous development in the R&D area of wireless sensors have given CTR comprehensive system expertise. This enables us to make use of the entire value chain from the sensor to the scanner and prototype and thus provide complete solutions for implementation in the customer’s system.
